You got stuff that you don’t want but you (being world-conscious and all) hate to just throw it out.
We need stuff that we hate to spend money on that you got.
If you bring it to us, we don’t have to spend money on it and we can spend money on things like electricity and wages and things!
Here’s the stuff we love if you bring it to us:
Coffee cups (we have quite an eclectic collection!)
Dishtowels and dishrags (we go through these like water!) They can be old–we just use them to wipe off tables.
Pens! You pick them up, you think, WHY do I have so many pens? People walk out of here with them in their pockets and then we need more! Bring us all your extraneous pens!
Stationery! You have mis-matched, ugly, old, uninteresting, done-with, tired of, stationery. We always need envelopes and we always need paper. Bring us your old stationery and we can use the envelopes for gift certficates, and we can use the stationery for paper! And it’s not just going un-used in the recycling bin and the whole world is happy!
Snowshoes! My house came with ice skates. I have no idea what to do with them, but I can’t just throw them away! If your house (or your kids or your ex-spouse) came with snowshoes, or skis or skates or something that you can’t just throw away, send them to us and we will let the guests at the inn use them when they come to visit!
